This year at the Dallas Comic Con we found a ton of cool things to see and do. One thing everyone should do is find Artist Alley. It’s where you can find some of the coolest prints from very talented artists. Today we want to spotlight one of those artists. In addition to telling you a little bit bout himself Splash! also agreed to give away one of his prints. Please take some time to read the article and then find out how to win.

Most people in the art world know me as Splash! My given name is Gregory Price and I have been drawing since I was three years old. I have always wanted to be a professional artist and have been pursuing a career since the 1990’s. My first published piece was in 1994, which was a cover I painted for a comic called Rough Cut #2. I was an acrylic painter for fourteen years until I was introduced to Photoshop and haven’t looked back since. I became a professional comic colorist for other artists in 2005 and have more recently began digital painting for my own portfolio.

Past Work

I have colored several covers for multiple comics including; “Hack/Slash” from Devil’s Due Publishing, Zenescope’s “Grimm Fairy Tales: The Library”, Everette Hartsoe’s “Razor”, and Kevin Grevioux’s “Underworld” comics. I am also the cover colorist for Red Handed Studio’s “Dynagirl” and Trinity Comics “The Wraith” comic series.

The Future

I will continue coloring for other artists and working on my own portfolio as well. I have recently painted covers for Fan Front Magazine Issues’ # 4 and 5. Check them out at www.fan-front.com.

You can catch Splash! on his Facebook page and make sure to check out his full gallery on his website. When you see him at a Comic Con, make sure to buy a print from his booth.
