Star Wars: Uprising Trailer. Collect All The Loot

Kaboom sent out a trailer this morning for a game that we didn’t even know was in development. This Diablo style game will be released in September and looks like it will be a ton of fun. Destined for the small screen, aka your mobile device. Fans can expect to play anywhere there phone goes. The only thing I hope for is decent controls and game play that doesn’t require you to buy in app purchases to advance the story.

Along with the announcement came a brand new trailer for season 5 of Game of Thrones. Check it out below!

Alamo City Comic Con 2014: Expectations Have Been Set

Last year at the Dallas Comic Con in Irving, TX we just happened to walk by a group of people wearing shirts that said “Alamo City Comic Con” and Jason jumped to asked if a Con was coming to San Antonio. That was the point when we first meet Alfredo “Apple” De La Fuente. We discussed what was going on and what this con was about. He promised many things and delivered on almost all of them. You can check out that interview below.

When we first drove down to ACCC in 2013 we knew something special was happening in San Antonio. From the banners that were hanging, to the excitement in the air when walking through the hotel to check in. We were not ready for what was in store for us. As we walked the floor, the only words that could describe the show were “polish” and “detail”. So much of both were poured over the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center over those three days. Apple showed so much poise as he was seen running around and making sure the show was perfect for the fans walking throughout the show floor. From the massive Walking Dead signing area to  artist alley. The show was personal, intimate, and very enjoyable.

Fast Forward to 2014 as preparation is really getting underway with Apple’s Team. We caught up with Apple at Comicpalooza in Houston, TX and they are promising bigger and better with their sophomore effort. 2013 brought in 35,000 attendees over the 3 day show. They are expecting to exceed this number in a big way. They have tripled their space in the convention center and added a couple huge names you may know. Both Marvel and DC will have fairly large booths on the floor this year, alone proving how well this show has been received. The comic book giants don’t attend just any show.

ACCC is also bringing back The Walking Dead with confirmed actors Chandler Riggs (Carl), Scott Wilson (Hershel), Emily Kinney (Beth), and Irone Singleton (T-Dog) on board. Also a first for the show is the co-creator of TMNT, Kevin Eastman, which should be a big draw since the new film is coming this summer. You can also catch Lori Petty, The Comic Book Men, Jamie Kennedy and so many more celebrities, artists, and professional cosplayers attending the show with panels, signings and photo opportunities.

One this is certain, Apple’s bringing the magic and experience to San Antonio that he’s obtained from working the San Diego Comic Con, and we are all the benefactors of it. Alamo City Comic Con is quickly turning into the best Con in Texas and should not be missed. If you plan on attending you can visit ACCC website for full details and tickets.
